I am shaving this year in honour of my amazing brother Adem who passed away on May the 4th 2013.
Adem is my oldest brother and will always be an inspiration to me and thousands of others. Adem always thought of others through his two and a half year battle with Leukaemia. Even when he was told his Leukaemia was incurable he would always make time for others before himself and did everything he could to help bring more awareness to the impact a blood cancer on patients and their families.
Thanks to the Leukaemia Foundation, my family was able to spend quality time together in Brisbane while Adem was being treated. We were given free accommodation for close to 18 months and have many irreplaceable memories from our time together at the accommodation village.
I am hoping to raise over $10 000 as I know first hand how these funds really help other patients and families who have been diagnosed with a blood cancer and who knows….. the money I raise may be the funds that help find a cure for this horrible illness.
