Over 120 lives saved at Team Adem Blood Donation Day
Team Adem’s Blood Donation Day last Saturday was a huge success with over 120 lives saved by those who rolled up their sleeves. We would like to thank everyone who attended the day, which included other nurses from Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. A BIG thank you must go to Cindy Roker and Leanne Hollis for their support & efforts on the day. Team Adem would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the Maroochydore Donor Centre staff & volunteers who were kept very busy! Considering many blood donors are currently unable to donate because of seasonal colds and flu’s this was an amazing effort.
Jade Cackett wins Adem Crosby Excellence in Community Spirit Award
Congratulations to Year 12 Chancellor State College student Jade Cackett for being awarded the 2019 Adem Crosby “Excellence in Community Spirit Award.” This perpetual award was established by Chancellor State College in 2013 (Adem’s school) in honour of Adem for his outstanding contributions in helping others. Team Adem is also proud to contribute a $250 cheque to the award winner each year. Jade is a deserving winner this year and has given much of her time to helping others in our community.
